az.ai, a Names.com company, runs this service. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we only use what you give us or connect, to do the work you ask for, and we never sell it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email, business name and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We can't read your password.
- What you ask for: the words you type or say to az.ai, names you search, sites and ideas we make for you.
- What you connect: if you connect a mailbox, domain or other service, we read only what's needed for the tasks you turn on. Connection keys are stored encrypted.
- Billing: Names.com's payment processor handles your card. We see the plan, status and the last four digits, never the full card number.
- Safety and logs: a scrambled version of your network address for rate limits and fraud protection, a record of every change made in your account (so it can be undone), and basic error logs.
- Bot protection: forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person is using the page. It doesn't use advertising cookies.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data.
- We don't use your content to advertise to you or to anyone else.
- We don't use advertising trackers on az.ai.
Who helps us
We use a small number of trusted providers to run az.ai. Each only gets what it needs to do its job:
- Cloudflare: hosting, security, storage and bot protection.
- Anthropic (Claude models): the AI behind az.ai's answers and builds, including az.ai Coding Pro. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, content sent through its API isn't used to train its models.
- OpenRouter: passes your request to the other models you can pick (GPT from OpenAI, Gemini from Google, Grok from xAI, Llama from Meta, Mistral AI, DeepSeek and Qwen from Alibaba), only when you pick one of them.
- Perplexity and Brave: web answers and web search, only when you use a web tool.
- fal: image generation with FLUX models (Black Forest Labs), only when you pick a FLUX model yourself on the models page.
- Deepgram: speech to text, only when you choose it to transcribe audio.
- Google Cloud: build and preview computers for projects you start.
- Names.com and Stripe: billing. Billing will show as Names.com - AZ.AI.
- Resend: delivery of account emails.
If we add a provider that handles your content, we'll update this list first.

Emails from us
We send account emails (welcome, password resets, receipts and important notices). If you join the launch list, we'll email you about launches; every one of those has an unsubscribe link.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you close it, we delete your content within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep (such as billing records).
Your choices
- See, correct, export or delete your data: use our contact form and we'll do it within 30 days.
- Disconnect any connected service at any time; we stop reading it straight away.
- Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights (for example under GDPR or California law). We honour them; just ask.
Children
az.ai is for businesses and adults. It isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in your account before it takes effect.
